“How to Humorize Your Life:
A Proven 4-Point Plan!

Reduce stress in workplace, and in personal life quickly with “How to Humorize Your Life.”

Educational passouts help extend the learning process and tasteful funny slides help to reinforce the value of finding humor in everyday life. The objective is to encourage attenders to be deadly serious in doing their job but to enjoy it by living light-heartedly.

The lively Q&A portion at end is especially helpful in localizing views to the different situations presented by each audience.

Henry Ford advised:
“If you believe that you can,
or that you can’t, you’re right.”

Since we’re not going to get out of this life alive, I open this presentation with that wise ‘n pithy saying to re-emphasize the need to disabuse yourself of the too-common thought “I can’t remember jokes.”

After all, when you say that negative phrase (or only think it) the result is self-fulfilling. That makes it harder to ”humorize” your life which is the goal for my polished presentation which can be a key note or a half day seminar.

Seven of the man advantages of practicing what I’ve preached for years are:

  1. you’ll be a better, more lively conversationalist, a useful skill for many situations.
  2. you are more likely to live light-heartedly, no matter what daily stresses you endure.
  3. you will soon find you’re more alert to everyday humorous situations that arise.
  4. my passout sheets for this (and all my topics) are designed to extend learning process.
  5. you must realize it’s up to you to regularly practice my basic 4 pointers listed below.
  6. since “attitude” is so critical to success, my plan helps you maintain a positive one.
  7. RIGHT NOW  promise yourself that for most every day for rest of your life (take your birthday off) you will work diligently to memorize and record the following 4 key elements:
  • A clean, appropriate, brief joke (complete with punchline)

  • An illustrative anecdote (from your life or from history)

  • An apt quotation ( preferably a witty, pithy or humorous one)

  • At least one new word (or a word you need to re-learn)

To remember ‘em, record the items in whatever way YOU find works best, e.g., via index cards or in notebook(s) maintained by hand or notes filed by computer, etc, Personally, I make notes on cards or even a handy scrap of paper or notebook, then quickly transfer data to organized sheets kept in tabbed 3-ring binders.

When you tastefully utilize the many daily opportunities that occur to pass along jokes, anecdotes, riddles, quotations, etc. you will find this technique works wonders when it comes to remembering them. And when they become part of your memory system, with practice,  you can more easily recall those that are apt exactly when you need to.  The result: you live a more lighthearted life.

Take advantage of fact that with each new audience you can re-tell a joke/quote etc. until you discover the very  best wording to do so.  You will soon develop a useful repertoire and if you work at it you can recall many to suit myriad situations.  Don’t overdo joke telling and make a bore of yourself, but regular honing helps you find optimum wording for jokes.

Yes, this may seem like a bit of work but you will find it turns out to lots of fun.

So, start NOW to memorize your “4 Daly Points.”  You’ll be glad you did.
